The Frank Haynes Gallery exhibits and sells regional paintings, drawings and studio ceramics. There are also cards and a picture-framing service. From its opening in 1987 it has sought to promote some of the best original art produced in the area, developing from a small art and craft outlet into its present form. The gallery prides itself on the quality of the works on display, drawing from all the main Art Clubs and Societies throughout three counties.The Picture Gallery mounts regular monthly exhibitions of paintings and drawings of a variety of subjects, and in a range of media. There is also a small selection of local prints. A few ‘regulars’ have their pictures on display nearly all the time.The Pottery Shop displays studio ceramics by members of the CPA (Crafts Potters Association), and talented members of the Midlands Potters Associations, etc. It is an outlet for domestic ware made in the studio by Frank Haynes. We currently have work by several makers from France. One aim of this country gallery is to offer quality pictures and pottery at prices well below what they would be in a town-centre or city gallery.Special exhibition April (Human figure in Art) which also contains photography and sculpture. Occasionally the Gallery houses one-person or group shows (the space being hired). You can reach us easily by road or rail. We’re on the road which runs from Great Bowden towards Market Harborough and the British Rail Station. We’re open from Thursday to Sunday each week, between 10am and 5pm.Helpful advice is at hand.
